Former Emmerdale star Gemma Oaten devoted a post to her friend and colleague Paul Hutton who sadly passed away. The actress took to Instagram to share the news with fans who flocked to support the star.

Fans of the ITV soap may recognise Gemma Oaten as playing the role of Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale from 2011 to 2015, where she received a nomination for the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer.

In the Dales, her character had a one night stand with Jai Sharma, eventually leading to the birth of their child Archie. Gemma originally left the soap after her character took the blame for an arson attack on Home Farm, as instructed by Charity who wanted to destroy Jai.
