ITV Emmerdale fans distracted by 'redundant' item in Sam and Faith Dingle scenes

Emmerdale fans couldn't concentrate as Sam and Faith Dingle shared a rare one-to-one scene. There was an emotional moment between the pair, played by James Hooton and Sally Dexter, in the latest edition of the ITV soap.

Back outside the main Dingle home Sam shares with wife Lydia, son Samson, and dad Zach, Sam and Faith had heart-to-heart after going fishing together.

Faith, who viewers know is dying from cancer, is going out her way to live her life to the full before she no longer has the chance. "I just want to spend time with the people in my family before I go," Faith told Sam as he accused her of putting a "dampener" on their day. "Look, we don't have to pretend none of this is happening do we?" Faith said to Sam before asking: "Was it like this when Alice was dying?" "Was what like this?" Sam replied before Faith quizzed: "Well, did you make lots of memories?" "Yeah, of course," Sam told her and Faith continued to ask questions. "You must have felt so helpless when she was getting to the end?" she said.

And Sam replied: "She were in bad pain and I couldn't stand by and watch her suffering." "Must have been the hardest thing you've ever done, helping her to end it like that?" Faith commented before Sam admitted: "I try not to think about that bit." Fath continued to probe, asking: "It must have been a relief too?" But Sam quickly hit back: "It's a relief for the person that dies, not for them that's been left behind.
