The actor is, of course, best known for playing Billy Mayhew on the ITV soap. After less time on-screen the soap star and co-star Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd, returned to filming on the soap and the pair were back on-screen together and suddenly appeared friends again in the interests of Summer who is working herself to the bone ahead of her exams that will determine her place at university.
Then earlier this month, Daniel was involved in some emotional scenes with co-star Harriet Bibby as he discovered the true extent of Summer's struggles.
After being mistakenly taken to the police station for being drink when she was in fact in a diabetic coma, her concerned guardian Billy vowed to help her.
