Coronation Street fans took to Twitter to mock the soap's new killer Stephen Reid after a scuffle with Leo Thompkins came to a deadly end.

Fans had seen Leo grow suspicious of Stephen after initially looking to him for advice about moving to Canada. The drama reached boiling point after Leo discovered that the swarmy businessman had shared a kiss with his fiancee Jenny Connor while they were on a break.

Leo ended up punching Stephen and, on a mission to prove that he's a liar, he contronted him about his plan to get his hands on the equity from his mum Audrey’s house.

As he followed Leo onto the Underworld factory gantry, Leo taunted him, threatening to call Audrey. Seeing red, Stephen lunged at Leo, sending him plunging over the railings.
