Simon Cowell
Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.

Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers recognise dance act from another show during emotional routine

Britain's Got Talent fans never miss a trick and it is no surprise they were quick to point out a recent act's talent show past.

The popular ITV programme was back on air on Saturday night (May 14) with Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, and Simon Cowell ready to see what else the country had to offer in terms of entertainment.

And things were soon getting emotional. The judges, London Palladium audience and viewers watching at home were treated to a performance from the Dane Bates Collective.

The troupe took to the stage and their look gave a hint as to what story they'd tell as they dressed in wartime attire. They said they perform across the UK to "tell stories," however, it was probably more tear-jerking than viewers expected as they revealed that their performance was recreating a letter from the choreographer's great-grandad to his great-grandma which told his wife he had been captured in the war.
