Matthew Mason, 20, was locked up for life with a minimum sentence of 28 years in January for the callous murder of 15-year-old Alex.

Agricultural engineering student Mason lured the boy to a wooded area in Ashley, Cheshire, and then bludgeoned him to death with a heavy wrench in December 2019.
