Although the double-deckers have been upgraded over the years, its trademark name has remained. But a new 'London-style' transport network proposed by Andy Burnham could signal the end of the trusty Magic Bus branding.

The re-elected Greater Manchester mayor unveiled a raft of transport announcements earlier this week - including the delivery of a franchised bus network within the next three years.
