Drew Barrymore is not going to be invited to the Internet's pizza party anytime soon. The actress caused an uproar on social media after uploading a video of her "pizza salad," in which she scraped off the toppings of a pizza slice and added them to the bed of lettuce.
The Internet collectively said "nope!"While beginning the TikTok video, Drew grabbed a slice of pizza, but rather than eating it, she started scraping the topping off and setting the crust to the side.
She then added salad dressing to her new creation."I just take the toppings and a little salad, which has basically all the same toppings as the pizza, and I make a pizza salad," she said in the video published by MailOnline. "I mix it up and it's actually really crunchy and delicious."Drew argued that the crust-less solution was perfect for those avoiding bread or the "gluten intolerant.""I'm sure people are going to be like, 'How dare you do this to a pizza?' I get it, I feel really guilty about it myself," she said before defending her unconventional pizza pie product. "You get the satisfaction of eating a pizza," she said.
To little surprise, the public wasn't falling in love with Drew's idea. "Drew I'm filing a lawsuit on behalf of pizza," one person joked on TikTok.
