Inquest opens into death of teenager who died after being hit by car

An inquest has opened into the death of a teenager who was hit by a car in Altrincham. Marcus Simmons-Allen died following a collision in the Broadheath area on October 10.

An inquest into his death was opened by coroner Alison Mutch at South Manchester Coroner’s Court on Friday (October 22). The court heard how Mr Simmons-Allen, of Craven Road, Altrincham, was working as an apprentice engineer at the time of his death.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on October 14. It found how Mr Simmons-Allen died after suffering a spinal injury in the crash.
