Injury boost for St Mirren as Eamonn Brophy prepares to make welcome return against Dundee United

Tomorrow night could see the return of St Mirren star striker Eamonn Brophy who has fully recovered from a hamstring injury.The ex-Killie frontman pulled up while playing against Aberdeen at the start of December.But gaffer Jim Goodwin revealed he’s been looking lively in training and is in with a shout of featuring against Dundee United.He said: “Eamonn Brophy is back in amongst it.“He’s trained the last week and he’s looked very sharp, he’s looking at being available for the game.”However, defender Conor McCarthy still isn’t ready to return from the ankle injury he sustained in a tussle with Livingston.Goodwin added: “Conor McCarthy is about another week from joining back in with the group. "Conor has been a massive player for us, he has been very consistent from day one and a big loss to the team."But he’s making great progress.”
