City just needed to win against Villa to seal the title, but were heading for second place when they slipped to a 2-0 deficit in the second half.
Liverpool were still drawing against Wolves, although went on to win, so City needed to come back to secure the title. Substitute Gundogan got the ball rolling with a fine header, before Rodri's well-placed shot levelled things and Gundogan's tap-in six minutes after his first sent the Etihad wild and secured the title for City. "After going 2-0 down, the chances were just very small," he told Sky Sports. "We have to do the simple things again in the best way.
