Iceland issues urgent recall on a products that 'could cause illness'

Products being sold in supermarket giant Iceland are being recalled due to an error on labels. The frozen food retailer sells a range of different brands including Bryans Salads.

Three types of are being urgently recalled as they could cause illness to those who consume them - reports The Express. Meals including Chicken and Bacon Pasta Salad, Prawn Pasta Salad and Cheese Pasta Salad are being recalled.This is due to the meals being labelled incorrectly..The pasta salads stated February 7 2022 as their use-by date, when in fact the correct use-by date is January 7 2022.They may now be unsafe to eat with a risk of bacterial growth that could cause illness if consumed.Bryans Salads Chicken and Bacon Pasta Salad come in a pack size of 300g.Bryans Salads Prawn Pasta Salad comes in a pack size of 300g.Bryans Salads Cheese Pasta Salad comes in a pack size of 300g.The three pasta salads are chilled items.The company is not only recalling the products but point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that sell the products - including Iceland.These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.If you have bought the product(s) recently, you are advised to “not eat them”.Bryans Salads along with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) are asking customers to check the item to see if it is one of the affected use by dates.The use by date can be found on the top film.Instead, you are asked to “return the product(s) to store for a full refund (with or without receipt).Anyone looking for more information is to contact Bryans Salads on 01772 812071 and press for option three.Alternatively, you can email technical@bryanssalads.co.uk.
