Police were called to Buckley Lane in the Smallbridge area of Rochdale in the early hours of Monday (February 22). A four-month-old baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement on Friday, police said a woman, 27, and a man, 39, have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.They have been bailed pending further enquiries.On Friday afternoon, a police car was parked outside a row of terraces.Neighbours said officers had been at the scene constantly since Monday.One person said: "I'm in shock, I'm lost for words."Another resident said: "I went out to work at 7am on Monday.
