‘Hunger Games’ star Jeffrey Wright reveals if he’ll be in the Haymitch movie: ‘Super smart material’

But at the same time, it was super-smart material.”Based on a trilogy by Suzanne Collins, “The Hunger Games” was a dystopian story set in a world where the US government forced kids and teens to fight to the death.
The original trilogy starred Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Woody Harrelson as her mentor, Haymitch Abernathy. Wright played Beetee Latier, one of her allies who was a fellow “victor,” meaning he had gone through the games in the past and won.
The original book trilogy was made into four films that were released between 2012 and 2015. In 2023, a prequel movie came out, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” starring Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth.
