A mum was reduced to tears after she went into Greggs to buy some sausage rolls - and was accused of not paying by a staff member.

The parent, who is in her 40s, stopped by the high street bakery to pick up some food and had left the money on the counter before turning to sort something with her child's pram, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Once fixed, she picked the sausage rolls and went to leave - but was called after by the till worker who said she hadn't paid for her items.

The situation escalated and she was soon "properly blubbering" in the middle of the shop. Wondering if her emotional reaction was out of the ordinary, she took to Mumsnet's popular Am I Being Unreasonable (AIBU) forum to seek advice.
