Drivers have been lining up to fill up their tanks at one of Greater Manchester’s cheapest petrol stations where fuel is being sold for more than 20p a litre less than the national average.

Bosses at the Limes Service Station in Walkden announced earlier today that they were slashing petrol prices to help people out during the cost of living crisis.

The station is currently offering 169.9p for unleaded and 185.9p for diesel - much less than the national average of 191.2p for petrol and 199.1p for diesel, according to Confused.com.

Following the announcement, drivers could be seen queuing up outside the petrol station as they wait to get to a pump. Co-director Hassan Mohammed said he has been overwhelmed with the response.
