ANOTHER popular BBC show has been cancelled, leaving its fans reeling. The reboot of US show Gossip Girl, which streams in the UK on BBC iPlayer and also screens on BBC One, has been canned by American broadcaster HBO Max.

The streaming service has axed the re-imagining of the iconic noughties show after just two seasons. It comes after a strong of recent axings, affecting both the BBC and Netflix.

Gossip Girl followed the naughty exploits of a group of pampered private school kids from New York's Upper East Side. The new version of the show stars a host of buzzy young talent, including Whitney Peak and Evan Mock.
