A shopper was 'blown away' by a stranger's act of kindness in Home Bargains. Lee Mills was attempting to pay for his shopping on Monday evening at the store in Wirral when his card was declined.

The 29-year-old left the shop to check his bank details on his phone and returned shortly after to pay for 'a few of the items he could afford'. Read more: But when he returned to the store, Lee couldn't believe his eyes.

He said a young woman had bought a number of the items Lee had attempted to buy. He told the Liverpool Echo : "I went back in and then that's when the lady turned to me and said 'that's for you', then left.
