Anton - who is filling in for regular judge Bruno Tonioli this series - was attempting to shuffle his chair behind the desk as Tess Daly introduced the next act.
But he was shocked when the chair loudly hit the floor and made Tess jump. Turning round and pulling a face, she laughed - but Anton stayed completely still.
Tess said: "Next is John Whaite and his dance partner Johannes. "On last week's launch show, John said he was born to be Strictlyfied. "But was he born to Tango..." Anton dropped the chair and a loud bang sounded out across the silent studio. "We'll find out...", added Tess.
