A Perth and Kinross councillor has called for more Scottish Government funding to provide rural affordable housing.Over the past year several Highland Perthshire businesses have faced staff shortages and a lack of affordable housing has been partly blamed for the issue.A Highland Perthshire councillor has called for the Scottish Government to provide more support from its Rural Housing Fund.In 2016 the Scottish Government launched the Rural Housing Fund to increase the supply of affordable housing.The £25 million fund was open to community organisations, development trusts, private landowners, private developers and traditional housing providers.Since the scheme was launched 16 affordable homes have been completed in Perth and Kinross.
