High school pupils in Bury are being asked to wear face coverings again amid a rising number of Covid-19 cases across the borough.

Bury Council is urging schools to take action following a number of recent outbreaks. More than 800 pupils at schools in the borough have tested positive since they went back last month, while 'a considerable number' have been forced to isolate.

Education and public health leaders are now writing to parents asking high school pupils to wear face coverings when moving around school.
