‘Heritage asset’ Victorian house in Bury to be converted into children’s home

The property is a semi-detached three-storey home on the junction of Walmersley Road and Birley Street and fronts to both streets.

Documents submitted to Bury Council by by Stockport based Better Care for Future Ltd said the home would provide accommodation for four children and create eight jobs, four full-time and four part-time roles.

Staff will work two- shifts at the site to look after the four children housed there. The vacant building is classed as a non-designated heritage asset.
