Helen Skelton has urged others to “take each chapter as they come along” as the mum-of-three opens up about life after her marriage ended.

Countryfile favourite Helen wed now-ex Richie Myler in December 2013, with the pair going on to call time on their marriage in April 2022 shortly after welcoming their third child together.

A year on from announcing their split, rugby star Richie has welcomed a baby with his new partner Stephanie Thirkill. After speaking about simply “doing her best”, in a new interview Helen, 39, has candidly shared some wise words as her ex starts his new chapter. “Lots of people have the same sorts of things to look after and sort out,” she told Grazia. “I think life is fun, and short, and wonderful, and you just take each chapter as they come along. There's no point overthinking stuff – you just get on with it.” Richie’s fourth child – and his first with Stephanie – is believed to have been born over the weekend after fans noticed that he was absent from the line-up for his rugby team Leeds Rhinos at a recent match, with team coach Rohan Smith later confirming that his absence was due to his baby’s birth. The Rhinos boss said: "Richie has spent a bunch of time in hospital with the birth of his new little baby, so we've given him a little time off to settle in at home." As Richie moves on with his new girlfriend and baby, there has been ongoing speculation about Helen’s love life amid rumours she’s set to join Celebs Go Dating. “Helen has already proved she is great on TV and is really interesting to watch," a source said last month. “The public really felt for her after her split and bosses think everyone would love to see her dating journey." Elsewhere, Helen was believed to have grown close to her.
