Jane Midgley hopes the Fatal Accident Inquiry - confirmed last week after a Crown Office u-turn - will finally tell her why her son isn’t coming home.

The tragedy at the luxury hotel on Loch Lomond just days before Christmas in 2017 killed Simon, 32, and his partner Richard Dyson, 38, after they were unable to escape the inferno which saw 214 guests – including 25 children – flee.
