Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may use their eviction from Frogmore Cottage as an excuse to miss King Charles’ Coronation, a royal expert has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed last week that they had been asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage – the UK home they were gifted by the late Queen following their marriage in 2018.

According to reports, the King, 74, wants the couple out of the cottage before his Coronation in May. It was said that the home had instead been offered to Prince Andrew who looks set to be moved from Royal Lodge – where he has lived since 2003 – as part of a shake-up of royal households.

But this week OK! exclusively revealed that Andrew’s daughter Eugenie had moved into the cottage. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said she thought Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, might use the eviction as "another excuse" not to attend the King’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6.
