Brandy Norwood will star in a new psychological horror film called The Front Room, which is being written and directed by Max and Sam Eggers – the younger brothers of The Witch, The Lighthouse and The Northman filmmaker Robert Eggers.According to Variety, the A24 film – which was adapted from a short story by English author Susan Hill – follows a “young, newly pregnant couple forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has long been estranged from the family.” Alongside Norwood, The Front Room will also star Kathryn Hunter, Andrew Burnap and Neal Huff.“It’s official! THE FRONT ROOM from The Eggers’ Brothers. Can’t wait for y’all to see this,” Norwood wrote on Instagram when sharing the news.

Pantera’s reunion tour have been announced, with the groove-metal pioneers’ first shows in more than two decades set to go down at festivals this December.The first of those festivals will be Heaven & Hell in Mexico, where alongside Scorpions, Pantera will co-headline the first night on December 2. They’ll perform there alongside the likes of Meshuggah, Arch Enemy, Epica and Cradle Of Filth, while other headliners billed for the festival include Slipknot and Judas Priest on December 3, and KISS on December 4.From there, Pantera will head to South America for a trio of Knotfest events in the region.

Late "Star Trek" actress Nichelle Nichols’ ashes will boldly go where few have gone before when they are launched into space aboard a historic Enterprise Flight later this year. Nichols, who was known for playing the iconic Lieutenant Nyota Uhura on all three seasons of the original show from 1966-1969, died on July 31. She was 89.

Scott Patterson did not enjoy his body being "objectified" while filming the hit television series "Gilmore Girls." On a recent episode of his podcast, "I Am All In With Scott Patterson," the star detailed a scene from Season Three when Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham, and Sookie, played by Melissa McCarthy, commented on the "nice shape" of Patterson’s character Luke Danes' behind. "Objectifying somebody's body part? Yeah, that was disturbing," Patterson said. An official announcement of the project is not expected to come until some time in September, at which point details about the deluxe package’s contents and a release date will be forthcoming.

Ethan Shanfeld One day after the announcement of “House of Hammer,” a Discovery+ documentary detailing the cannibalism sex-fantasy accusations against Armie Hammer, “Call Me by Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino released the trailer for his next movie “Bones and All,” a cannibal love story starring Hammer’s former co-star Timothée Chalamet. While many on Twitter were quick to connect the theme of Guadagnino’s upcoming movie with the allegations against Hammer, the director insists it’s only coincidental. “It didn’t dawn on me,” Guadagnino said in an interview with Deadline ahead of the Venice Film Festival. “I realized this afterward when I started to be told of some of these innuendos on social media.”

Me Time, directed and written by John Hamburg (Meet The Parents), pairs Hollywood powerhouses Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg in a chemistry-free friendship full of slapstick comedy and hijinks. Hamburg is known for his comedic work. The same goes for Hart and Wahlberg, but the three combined created something full of hot air. Regina Hall also stars in the film and is regulated to the background as the nagging significant other. It’s actually impressive how unfunny this film is and that one must sit through every painful moment until the credits roll.

Girlpool have announced their imminent disbandment, confirming that their upcoming North American tour – of which they’ve also cancelled roughly two thirds – will serve as their last run of shows altogether.“After nine years, we have decided to take a break from Girlpool and go our separate ways as songwriters,” the band, consisting of Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad (who both sang and played guitar and bass) wrote in a statement. “This upcoming tour will be our last one – it will be an ode to the past, a celebration for the future and something we will pour both of our hearts into completely.”The pair went on to assure fans that there is no bad blood between them, declaring: “We are each other’s biggest fans and always encourage each other to stretch and evolve, whether that means it’s alongside one another or not.”Girlpool were due to begin their North American tour in Sacramento, however that show (booked in for  September 6) has now been cancelled, alongside 14 other shows on the run.
