Scottish legend Sir Billy Connolly turns 80 years old today. The much loved comedian, born in Glasgow, has celebrated an illustrious career, entertaining us Scots for over five decades.The Big Yin retired from his stand up career following his Parkinson's diagnosis, but many Scots hold fond memories of the comic.

Just recently, it was announced Connolly will team up with the BBC to give expert comedy lessons.He currently resides in Florida, but whenever he is back in Scotland, fans are delighted to see him out and about.
