Moving your bank account to another financial provider may seem a bit daunting, but nowadays it’s a lot easier and quicker than you may realise and could even earn you some extra cash before Christmas.

Over six million current accounts have been switched so far and more than 40 banks and building societies are already part of the Current Account Switch Service.
