An inquest has ruled that gunman Jake Davison shot himself following a killing spree that claimed the lives of five people. Davison was approached by an unarmed police officer on the streets of Keyham, Plymouth.

At the time, Pc Zach Printer told the 22-year-old to "stand still" in the hopes that he could talk him down. However, Davison pulled the trigger of his pump-action shotgun on himself and fell to the ground.

The inquest heard how it was the culmination of an eight-minute-long attack on August 12, 2021, that started with the killing of Davison's mother.
