Fair City after its hiatus last year due to COVID-19. Organisers have confirmed the event will go ahead on Saturday, August 14.With work taking place around City Hall, the action will move to the North Inch from 2pm with participants running a mile while carrying a bag of tatties.Around 100 people have already signed up, with organisers hoping to beat the 290 entrants who took part in 2019.

It is also hoped runners will head to Perth from Edinburgh, where the tattie run has once again been cancelled due to the pandemic.

All participants receive a medal and get to take their bag of tatties home after they have completed their run.The event was launched on Wednesday by Provost Dennis Melloy, with organisers praising the council for its.
