Graham Norton recounted a harrowing ordeal where he was severely injured and "left for dead" after being viciously stabbed during the 1980s.
Breaking his usual comical persona, Graham reflected that "no failure compares to dying", highlighting the severity of the terrifying incident that unfolded on the streets of London.The charming Irish-born presenter, 61, now well-known for his eponymous talk show on the BBC, courageously opened up about the 1989 knife assault which saw him lose "lost half [his] blood while talking to The Telegraph.The experience was noted as the darkest moment in the life of the star.
Describing the fateful night, Graham shared: "Getting stabbed in 1989. I lost half my blood," He went on to detail how the subsequent morning in a hospital ward brought a sobering inquiry from a nurse regarding notifying someone – possibly his parents.
At the time, Graham says he didn't grasp the depth of his predicament and the reality that he had been moments away from death "It didn't dawn on me I was dying.
