Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon to turn his full backs into wingers and follow the Liverpool blueprint for a back four. The former Hoops boss was surprised to hear Lennon's reasoning for continuing with the 3-5-2 against AC Milan despite the disappointing showing against Rangers on Saturday.Celtic have just Moi Elyounoussi as a recognised first team winger and put Ryan Christie wide on the right after changing shape at half time in the 3-1 defeat to Milan.

Lennon insisted he didn't have the options to start with a back four despite the improved second half performance. But Strachan has urged him to go with what he has and use Jeremie Frimpong and Diego Laxalt as attacking full backs in the mould of Liverpool.
