She's the second star to leave the show after apparent nude scenes on the screen.The first, Coronation Street actress Maureen Lipman, walked away in December 2021 after saying "life is too short to watch a series of hopeless men dangle their bits and pieces in my direction." The actress, who also has an impressive career spanning 50 years, told Loose Women panellists that she also wasn't a fan of the way editors used her reactions.
She told Janice Street-Porter at the time: "I've seen all the male tackle that I need to see for this lifetime, to be honest, I really have." Dame Shelia Hancock has now revealed why she's no longer appearing on the show - and it's for a similar reason.
The actress, who recently appeared on ITV's Unforgotten, broke her silence on her exit and told The Mirror: "I used to love doing it with Gyles, but they sacked me from that.
