Good Morning Britain was thrown into chaos on Friday morning when Kate Garraway was forced to apologise for a guest swearing for the second time in a week.The 54 year old hosted the breakfast show alongside Richard Madeley, 65, when they were joined by journalist John Simpson.

John, 76, joined the duo on the hit ITV show to discuss his new novel – which is based on his real-live experiences as a foreign correspondent – when Richard asked him about the moment he was part of a mock execution.

He told the hosts: "It was me in Beirut some years ago. I was made to kneel down and a guy stuck a gun in the back of my neck and pulled the trigger and, you know, I thought my last moment had come.
