Glasgow city centre streets closed off after pedestrian struck by car

Police were called to the scene in the St Vincent Street area around 7.40pm this evening, February 2.St Vincent Street, Pitt Street, Elmbank Street and Elderslie Street are all said to be affected according to reports on social media, with 999 services on the scene.Traffic signals are also off due to being damaged in the accident, it has been reported.
Gym-goer Lauren Adessi said on Twitter she "couldn’t walk home for police tape blockades, vans and ambulances".The condition of the pedestrian or people in the vehicle is not known at this time.
