George R. R. Martin's Upcoming Book Boycotted, As Fans Accuse His Co-Authors of Racism

Fans are not happy with George R. R. Martin‘s upcoming book. While the subject matter is something most a definitely interested in, who he wrote the new book with is where the problems lie.

Here’s what happened: while promoting the upcoming release of “The Rise of the Dragon: An Illustrated History of the Targaryen Dynasty, Volume One”, George‘s social media posts were met by backlash over the co-authors on the project: Linda Antonsson and Elio M.

García Jr. Click inside to read more… Linda and Elio, who are married, created a Game of Thrones online forum, Westeros.org in 1999, and shortly after, George had recruited them as fact-checkers for his book “A Feast for Crows.” Then, just a handful of years later, they were co-authors on “The World of Ice & Fire,” which is an illustrated companion book for the series of novels.

Here’s what fans are taking issue with: some of Linda‘s previous posts, that have been written more than a decade ago, expressed concern over casting actors or color portraying roles that George had written as white.
