GEORDIE Shore is set for a massive cast cull for the upcoming series after bosses decided to streamline the show. MTV has ordered another series with the original cast after the reunion show was a huge hit.

But not everyone will be invited back as the series will take a closer look at the lives of its more popular stars - many of whom are close pals.

"Execs are axing around half of them. "They want to focus more on the core characters and the most recognisable names." "All the favourites like Charlotte, Holly, Marnie, Nathan and Chloe are safe but a lot of the peripheral cast members are going to be gutted," the insider added. "They love being part of the show, and were desperate to be asked back." Rather than going back to the Geordie Shore house, this time cameras will follow the cast in their own lives, as well as on a big holiday together - and bosses wanted there to be drama but also plenty of laughs.
