‘General Hospital’ Star Kelly Monaco Taped Her Last Episode Friday, According To Her Mom
deadline.comSam McCall has apparently left Port Charles for good. Kelly Monaco’s mom revealed on social media Sept. 27 that her daughter taped her last episode of General Hospital that day.
Fans learned in August that Monaco, who first joined the ABC sudser in 2003, would be leaving GH sometime this fall. Monaco has shot more than 2,200 episodes of GH and has received two Daytime Emmy nominations for her work.
She went to win the mirrorball trophy in the first season of Dancing with the Stars. “I want to take this moment to reach out to Kelly’s incredible fans and express my deepest gratitude for the unwavering love, loyalty, and support you’ve shown her throughout her time on General Hospital,” wrote Carmina Monaco posted on social media Friday. “On this final day, just four days shy of the anniversary of her first episode on October 1, 2003, Kelly will close the door of her dressing room for the last time.
This moment is a difficult one, but knowing that she has had such an incredible, devoted fan base has given her strength. You’ve stood by her through every twist and turn, celebrating her achievements and providing comfort in the hard times.
