Gary Neville has agreed with Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick's 'open-heart surgery' claim and highlighted the need for patience in light of Erik ten Hag's appointment.
Ten Hag will take over at Old Trafford in the summer and, as this season dwindles to a conclusion, it is becoming evident of the work needed to spark improvements at the club.
United legend Neville admits he agrees with Rangnick's claim likening the change United needed to "open-heart surgery" as he spoke on his self-titled Sky Sports podcast.
On Ten Hag, Neville said: "I think any appointment at this point is a risk, it just is, because there is no certainty anymore.
