Further strike dates impacting Lanarkshire schools have been announced for the new term, following last week’s historic first industrial action by teachers in four decades.The EIS, Scotland’s largest teaching union, is now organising 16 days of action across Scotland in January and February – which will see members strike in North Lanarkshire on January 19 and in neighbouring South Lanarkshire on February 3.Both dates are in addition to the union’s previously-announced strikes for January 10 and 11, the second and third days of the new term, in primary and secondary schools respectively.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
