CCTV captured two men making a miraculous escape after a huge tree came crashing down on top of their car as they unpacked their shopping.

Les Webb, 54, had just parked his Honda Jazz outside friend Anothony Blanchard's, 47, house on Kent Road in Cheadle Heath, Manchester.

The pair had started unloading items picked up on their trip to IKEA when a large tree from the park opposite was blown over by Storm Arwen, landing on top of them and the vehicle.

Incredibly, the car took the weight of the trunk, with the two men sustaining only minor cuts and grazes after managing to wrestle their way out through the tree branches, according to Manchester Evening News.
