Posting a photo of her injuries to his social media account, he praised his daughter, saying he was "so proud of how brave my baby girl was during the surgery." Speaking on Live With Kelly and Mark, the one-time Strictly Come Dancing guest judge said what was supposed to be a weekend of happy celebrations turned into a "very stressful" few days after Ava fell off her sit-down scooter. "On Thursday, unfortunately, my daughter got injured and had to have emergency surgery," he said. "So it was a very stressful weekend.

She fell and had basically road rash on her face and arm, and so they had to scalpel off all the skin." The recovery from the accident will be a "long process" for the little girl, he told the show.
