The family of a Scots gran who was left with a bloody head wound after a fall in hospital have raised concerns over her care.
Beatrice McNarey, who has dementia, was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after breaking her hip at her Glasgow home in September.
The 91-year-old was kept in overnight before surgery the following day and later transferred to Gartnavel General Hospital for her ongoing recovery.
But her family were shocked to find her with a bleeding cut to her head after an ‘unwitnessed’ fall on November 13. Daughter Susan McNarey, 58, and her partner Thomas Bagan, 67, have raised questions about the OAP’s care and want to know why she wasn’t fitted with a movement alarm - despite being deemed a high fall risk.
