Former Coronation Street actor 'thrilled' at award nomination for pantomime show

Kilmarnock's pantomime has been named as one of the best in the country.The production of Snow White has been recognised by the UK Pantomime Association as the body announced nominees for its annual awards.The Palace Theatre panto is in the running to be crowned the best show in the UK in a venue with 500 to 900 seats and is the only Scottish nominee in a field of five contenders.The Ayrshire show has also been nominated for the best ensemble with Kieran Lynch, Caitlin Mae and Charlotte Jean Moore named.Imagine Theatre, a firm responsible for producing pantomimes across the UK, was behind the Kilmarnock show.Ayrshire actor Eric Potts wrote the script and was associate producer for the Kilmarnock pantomime while it was directed by Andrew Agnew.Mr Potts, artistic director of Imagine Theatre, who also starred in the Kilmarnock show, told Ayrshire Live: "I am totally thrilled with the recognition that the show and the entire team behind it from both Imagine Theatre and the Palace Theatre have received.
