Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Liam Gallagher and Brian May are among the acts who will pay tribute to late Foo Fighters rocker Taylor Hawkins at a special concert later this year.  Hawkins died in March at the age of 50 when the Foo Fighters were in the middle of their tour in Colombia.

The band recently announced a tribute concert will be taking place at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3, and they have now confirmed the star-studded line-up.

Joining former Oasis rocker Liam and Queen guitarist Brian, other appearances will come from Chris Chaney, Joshua Homme, Stewart Copeland, Mark Ronson, Wolfgang Van Halen, Rufus Taylor, Geddy Lee, Chrissie Hydne, Chevy Metal, Omar Hakim and Supergrass.

US comedian Dave Chappelle will make a special appearance, while many other acts are yet to be announced. The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in the UK chosen by the Hawkins family and beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly.
