Fire crews rescued an 18-year-old man with a dislocated knee after he became stuck on scaffolding in Denton. Paramedics and two fire engines from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) attended the scene on Gloucester Road on Wednesday afternoon (May 18).

Fire crews attended the scene shortly after 2.30pm to find the male, who needed rescuing from the scaffolding. He had become stuck on the first floor level after suffering a dislocated knee.

He was lifted back down to the ground on a stretcher and a ladder and was taken into the back of an ambulance where he was treated by NWAS paramedics.

The scene then cleared shortly afterwards.
