Family of missing schoolgirl, 12, 'worried sick' as search continues

The family of a missing 12-year-old girl are desperate to locate her as search efforts reach day six.Jamie-Lee Harvie, from Ayr, was last seen at the town’s train station six days ago where she boarded a train towards Glasgow.It is thought Jamie-Lee may have got off the train at Irvine, and she is known to frequent the Irvine, Kilwinning and Saltcoats areas.Worried family members are pleading with the public to be on the look out for Jamie-Lee, who is described as 5ft in height and of medium build with long, light, brown hair.She was wearing black clothing including a padded jacket, jumper, leggings and trainers when she was last seen at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, March 14.Police officers say they are “very concerned” about her welfare and they have appealed for information.Photos and posters of the missing girl are being shared on missing people pages on social media and TikTok as the public wade in to try ascertain her location.Jamie-Lee’s uncle Steven Harvie said the family are “worried sick” in a social media plea.In a post on Facebook, Steven said: “My wee niece, aged 12 years, has been missing since Tuesday, March 14 - all the family is worried sick and doing everything we possibly can to try figure out where she possibly could be.“Going by when she went missing, she was wearing; a black puffy jacket, black leggings, black shoes (All Black), height 5’ft, hair colour brown. “Where she’s recently been/ seen is the Moor (Irvine) as the shows have been there- traces from Ayr, Kilwinning, Irvine we’ve gotten so far.“Any information whatsoever please do contact myself or others as following; Kimberley Findlay, Khloe Miller, Frankie Harvie, thanks."Appealing directly to Jamie-Lee, he added: “Jamie-lee Harvie if you do end
