Family of little Scots boy who 'can't eat' and is trapped in hospital 70 miles away plead for help to stay close to him

schoolboy who is battling a life-threatening condition which leaves him unable to eat are desperately appealing for help to stay close to his hospital 70 miles away from their home.

Little Ryan Cairnie was diagnosed with intestinal failure when he was just two-years-old after projectile vomiting everything he ate.

The eight-year-old, who was born three months premature, was initially fed through a tube in his stomach but this soon began to fail and a central line was placed into his neck.He is now fed through his blood but the lifeline treatment is beginning to destroy his other organs and has brought on early stages of kidney failure.
