The Mercury Prize with FREE NOW has announced the new date for its 2022 ceremony. Originally due to take place September 8, the awards were cancelled with just hours to go, owing to the death earlier that day of Queen Elizabeth II.

Now, however, organisers have announced a new date for the most prestigious music prize in British music to be awarded to one of the 12 nominees.

Last year's Mercury Prize was won by indie-pop act Arlo Parks, for their debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams. When will the Mercury Prize with FREE NOW 2022 ceremony take place?

The annual awards show for the Mercury Prize will take place Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on Tuesday, October 18 2022. The ceremony will - as always - include performances by all 12 of the nominated acts.
