glamour.comVirgin River, most likely you're either cheering or totally stunned—or perhaps a combination of both. Regardless, there's no denying it was an epic finale with plenty of shocking developments.
It's going to be hard to wait for season five, but the good news is that star Alexandra Breckenridge ("Mel") confirms to Glamour that it will be . (And this is your warning to stop reading now if you aren't caught up.) So much happened, but let's focus on Mel and Jack (Martin Henderson) since frankly, that's all we can think about.
The episode started with Mel accepting Jack's very romantic proposal (finally!). The two celebrated with an overnight stay made even more special by the reveal the next morning that the paternity test results were in and Jack, not Mark, is the father of Mel's unborn baby.
To add to the joy, the results also showed that Mel is expecting a girl. As if that wasn't enough for one episode, Jack and Mel were out to dinner with JoEllen, Nick, and his trouble-making sister, Melissa (who's in charge of Emerald Lumber) when Charmaine calls frantically needing help.
